Indian carrier GoAir eyeing expansion in Southeast Asia
After launching two new daily flights to Abu Dhabi, Indian low cost carrier GoAir is setting its sights on further expansion in Southeast Asia.
It could add new routes to Hanoi, Vietnam and Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
GoAir’s vice-president of international operations, Arjun Dasgupta said it will focus on adding new services and capacity in the region.
It already flies to Bangkok and Phuket.
Dasgupta said new destinations are being considered based on the six-hour flying range of its fleet of Airbus A320Neo aircraft.
It now has a fleet of more than 50 planes and will be adding at least one aircraft every month.
New Southeast Asia routes should be added by the end of the year, according to an airline official.
