Industry campaign to promote family reunions
The American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) announced Royal Caribbean International will join them in a fall public relations campaign to promote family reunions and gatherings.
The campaign will target broadcast and print media to reach families and other groups gathering for the holidays.
A recent survey sponsored by ASTA and Vacation.com, a travel services marketing company, found that families are increasingly interested in catching up with loved ones at family reunions.
Almost 58% of those surveyed said they were hosting family reunions aboard cruise ships. All-inclusive resorts was the second most popular place with 19.8%.
Royal Caribbean’s Royal Reunion program offers two packages that offer a variety of extras and activities designed to create a celebratory mood for reunion groups. The packages start at $50 per person and are available on all of the cruise lines Voyager-class ships, including the new Mariner of the Seas, which debts in November.
