Intellistrand buys 127 .travel domain sites
Inellistrand LLC bought 127.travel domain Web sites through the Tralliance Corporation.
The purchase includes many leading tourism and travel destinations in the world such as www.newyorkcityhotels.travel. Intellistrand is branding each Web site with its own logo.
Unlike other internet travel portals that provide general hotel information for a large number of locations, each of Intellistrand’s .travel Web sites is specific to each city.
The company says each .travel Web site gives travelers a chance to plan excursions online with discounted rates and special officers.
Satellite mapping also allows users to see exactly where hotels are located in relation to other attractions in each city.
Said Will McIntosh, CEO of Intellistrand LLC:
“With more than 75% of consumers currently securing some of their travel over the internet, the emergency of a dot travel domain name will help raise the profile, credibility and identity of the worldwide travel industry.”
The .travel internet domain was officially launched earlier this year with more than 30 leading travel industry organizations, including the American Society of Travel Agents and the World Travel and Tourism Council.
Intellistrand provides products and services which include software applications and development including creative and programming services and others.
