Lastminute.com has appointed Julie Davidson as UK marketing director.

Davidson joins from Levi Strauss, where she was marketing director UK & Ireland. Before that she was marketing director for Garnier Maybeline at L’Oreal, and held various marketing roles at Cadbury Schweppes.

Starting on March 3, she will head up Lastminute.com’s 35-strong UK marketing team, developing local marketing plans across the group’s four key B2C and B2B brands, Lastminute.com, Travelocity.co.uk, Holiday Autos and Medhotels.

Interim marketing director, Alistair Daly, will work with Davidson throughout the transition period before leaving the business to pursue a career outside of group.

Davidson will report directly into Lastminute MD John Bevan and on Holiday Autos matters she will report into UK MD Stuart Nassos.

John Bevan, Managing Director at lastminute.com said: “Following our rigorous recruitment process we have managed to secure an outstanding marketeer.

“Julie has experience of driving sustained revenue growth in all of her last three businesses and will be a valuable asset to our business. I believe she has the drive and vision to propel the business into the next exciting phase.”
