LATAM unveils eco amenity kits
LATAM has rolled out ‘Eco Kits’, a new amenity kit concept for passengers travelling in Premium Business.
Based on local design and sustainability, the bags are designed to be reusable, versatile and collectable.
The bag is delivered without packaging, and includes environmentally friendly reusable materials such as a bamboo toothbrush and a sugar can cap.
The earplug packaging is made of craft paper to minimise the use of plastic and the socks and masks are made of recycled plastic.
The toiletry bag includes cosmetic products by Feito Brasil, which uses natural ingredients, raw materials and local production.
The design is the work of South American artists chosen for the work they do in their communities.
The first two artists to join this initiative are Tomás Olivos (Chile) and Hamilton Aguiar (Brazil).
The next designs will be by artists from Ecuador, Peru, Colombia and Argentina.
Passengers on the Santiago de Chile – Madrid and São Paulo/Guarulhos – Miami routes will be the first to have the sustainable eco kits.
It will be gradually implemented on the rest of the network during 2022.
