Leger Holidays releases new Battlefield Tours brochure
Escorted coach tour company Leger Holidays unveiled its brand-new Battlefield Tours – Walk in the Footsteps of Heroes brochure for 2026/27.
The collection includes 10 new WW1 and WW2 tours, expanding the programme to 55 fully escorted battlefield experiences.
Prices start from £429 per person, for a four-day tour.
Each tour is led by a specialist guide.
Leger Shearings Group’s head of retail sales, Ashley Dellow said: “Our Battlefield Tours programme is designed to help customers gain a deeper understanding at significant battle sites, while paying their respects at powerful memorials.”
Among the new tours is a 5-day Anzio, Monte Cassino & San Pietro – Italian Campaign by Air tour priced from £1,029 pp.
This includes air travel to Rome, followed by onward escorted coach travel, visits to war museums and cemeteries, and the preserved San Pietro battlefield site.
Commemorating the one-hundred-year anniversary of the iconic memorial in Ypres, is a special 5-day Menin Gate Centenary tour priced from £519 per person.
On the itinerary are visits to key battlefield sites in Flanders and participation in local centenary events.
Two new ‘Mini-Cruise & Tour’ tours – Siegfried Line & Battle of the Bulge Mini-Cruise and WW2 Arnhem & Rhineland Mini-Cruise & Tour have been added to the collection.
These tours combine overnight sailings from Newcastle to IJmuiden, North Holland, with escorted coach travel. The packages include a cabin, buffet dinner and breakfast, plus access to onboard facilities such as bars and live entertainment.
There are now 55 battlefield tours available across Europe and the UK.
All battlefield coach tours include coach travel from convenient local UK departure points (or air travel where specified), hotel accommodation with selected meals, and key visits as detailed in individual itineraries.
Travel agents can view the new Battlefield Tours brochure online or order printed copies via BP Trade-Gate.
