Long haul specialist plans agent training

An operator specialising in New Zealand and the South Pacific is embarking on a six-month trade awareness campaign.

Talpacific Holidays plans to train agents as part of the exercise designed to raise the profile of the brand.

The Twickenham-based operator claims to only employ sales consultants with first-hand knowledge of the destinations it features.

The company, a preferred supplier to Thomas Cook, Flight Centre, AITO Specialist Agents, and other independent retailers, is to conduct regular training sessions.

Sales manager Jason Abbey said: “Our primary focus over the next six months is to really cement our relationships within the trade.

“We want to assist in creating a strong base of informed agents, confidently pushing the destinations. Business is picking up, with an increasing number of bookings made just a few weeks before departure.”

Training can be arranged by emailing Mr Abbey at: [email protected].
