From ultra-luxury resorts to vibrant new lifestyle destinations, Los Cabos, Mexico, is entering an exciting new chapter in 2026. Already renowned for its dramatic desert-meets-ocean landscapes and world-class hospitality, the destination continues to evolve with a wave of high-profile hotel openings and standout new experiences that reinforce its status as one of Mexico’s most dynamic and sophisticated destinations.
In 2026, travelers to the southernmost tip of the Baja California peninsula can expect an expanded portfolio of boutique and luxury resorts and major new attractions, reflecting a growing demand for personalized, design-led and experience-driven travel. Below is a snapshot of what’s new and noteworthy in Los Cabos for the year ahead.
Boutique & luxury resorts
Kadun Hotel Boutique (just opened)
Located in the heart of downtown Cabo San Lucas, just steps from the marina and El Medano Beach, Kadun Hotel Boutique is a newly opened, 110-room boutique hotel from Mexico Grand Hotels. Blending contemporary design with the region’s cultural heritage, the hotel features thoughtfully designed rooms and suites, some with private terraces, kitchenettes and outdoor jacuzzis. Guests can enjoy a rooftop pool overlooking the marina, Baja-inspired dining at Umbral and Savia, artisanal coffee at Lola Mia, and curated local experiences ranging from marine excursions to cultural excursions in Todos Santos.
Amanvari (opening early to mid-2026)
Amanvari, the boutique resort by the acclaimed Aman brand, is slated to open in early to mid-2026. Situated within the Costa Palmas community on the East Cape, Amanvari will feature just 18 freestanding casitas along with private residences, a signature Aman Spa, and refined dining concepts that combine Italian, Japanese and regional cuisine. This intimate, ultra-luxury hideaway underscores a growing trend in Los Cabos towards less-crowded and deeply personalized escapes.
St. Regis Los Cabos at Quivira (opening late 2026)
Set within the prestigious Quivira Los Cabos development, The St. Regis Los Cabos will comprise an exclusive 120-room luxury beachfront hotel and 60 residences, all positioned to maximize sweeping ocean views. Hotel guests can expect the brand’s renowned St. Regis Butler Service, three signature dining venues, multiple resort pools, a spa and direct beach access. Dining options will include a destination specialty restaurant, a beachfront grill with all-day dining and an al-fresco poolside venue serving small plates and crafted cocktails.
Grand Hyatt Los Cabos at Oleada (opening late 2026)
The Grand Hyatt Los Cabos is projected to open in late 2026 within the expansive Oleada development. Featuring 300 rooms, the resort will overlook the new Oleada Golf Links – a dramatic oceanfront course designed by four-time major champion Ernie Els – and will feature elevated resort amenities, multiple dining venues, family-friendly facilities and panoramic views across the ocean.
Soho House Los Cabos (opening late 2026)
Scheduled to open later in 2026, Soho House Los Cabos is a highly anticipated new arrival in Baja California peninsula’s Cabo del Sol. The House will feature a Beach Club, Cecconi’s, and Sunset and Cabaret Bar, as well as a full Soho Health Club, with holistic and advanced technology wellness amenities, a gym and pool, with far-reaching views over the ocean. The House will also have 15 bedrooms for members.
New attractions and experiences
Oleada Golf Links Los Cabos (opening early 2026)
Golfers will soon enjoy Oleada Golf Links, a dramatic 7,336-yard links-style golf course stretching along one mile of Pacific beachfront in Los Cabos. Designed by Ernie Els, the course is set to open in early 2026 and is already being positioned as one of the most significant new golf openings in the region, with the first PGA Tour event scheduled for 2027.
Ánima Village (just opened)
Opened in December 2025, Ánima Village is a vibrant new lifestyle and cultural hub at Cabo del Sol. Home to more than 80 luxury brands, high-end restaurants, art galleries and wellness spaces, the Village offers a sophisticated retail, dining and cultural destination along the corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, enhancing the region’s non-resort experiences.
