Marriott to debut Delta Hotels brand in the US

Marriott International is bringing its Delta Hotels and Resorts brand across the border to the US.

Marriott acquired the Delta portfolio of 37 Canadian hotels in April, and it will debut in the US with the opening of the Delta Orlando Lake Buena Vista next month.

The 241 room resort will be operated under a franchise agreement by JHM Hotels.

It features a restaurant and bar, fitness center, onsite parking and resort-style swimming pool with a kids’ splash zone and pirate ship.

The resort plans to offer transportation to local Orlando area attractions, including all of the Disney theme parks.

"We are thrilled to work with JHM Hotels as we continue to integrate the Delta Hotels and Resorts brand into the Marriott family," said Paul Cahill, global brand leader Delta Hotels & Resorts, area vice president of operations, Canada.

"We are especially excited to debut the brand in one of the country’s top resort and leisure destinations and look forward to welcoming even more guests to the Delta experience."

The existing Delta portfolio consists of about 10,000 rooms throughout Canada where members can earn and use Marriott Rewards points.
