Meadowview Resort earns highest award

Monday, 26 May, 2005 0

The Meadowview Marriott Conference Resort & Convention Center earned the Marriott International’s 2004 “Quality Assurance Top Operations” award.

All of the Marriotts are reviewed semi-annually by an independent firm that checks everything from guest rooms to banquet kitchens. Hotels are rated in the areas of cleanliness, maintenance, safety, security, food quality, system standards, brand image and leadership.

The Meadowview Conference Resort & Convention in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Kingsport, Tenn., topped all other Marriott properties.

The 195-room mountain retreat has more than 60,000 square feet of state-of-the-art function space, all under one roof. Trade shows of up to 3,500 attendees can be accommodated.

Recreational amenities include a championship golf course, lighted tennis courts, steam rooms, a healed pool and basketball courts. There is also complimentary use of mountain bikes for scenic rides.

Off-site options range from white-water rafting to fishing and hiking.
