Cathay Pacific to resume Middle East routes from September

Cathay Pacific plans to resume its daily passenger flights from Hong Kong to Dubai and four times weekly passenger flights to Riyadh from 1 September 2026.

The flights are open for sale since July 2, 2026. However, Cathay will continue to closely monitor the evolving situation in the Middle East prior to the resumption dates.

The Hong Kong home carrier indicated that as it works toward resuming flights to Dubai and Riyadh, it currently continues to waive rebooking, rerouting and refund charges for existing bookings to give passengers continued flexibility to adjust their journey as needed.

If passengers choose to make a new booking, they should however take into consideration that any difference in fare or taxes between the original and new itinerary will still apply.

Following rules apply:

  • Traveler’s ticket to or from Dubai or Riyadh must be booked on a Cathay Pacific operated flight.

  • Ticket to or from Doha (alternative route provided on Qatar Airways flights) must be ticketed by Cathay Pacific and booked on a Cathay Pacific marketed flight.

  • Passengers can choose new travel dates, as long as they are on or before 30 Nov 2026. New travel dates are subject to seat availability.

  • This arrangement does not apply to tickets that have already been fully or partially refunded.
