NCL ship hits iceberg in Alaska
The Norwegian Sun cruise ship was forced to skip a port call in Alaska after hitting an iceberg.
The ship missed its scheduled Skagway stop and headed for Juneau so the hull could be assessed by Coast Guard divers.
It collided with an iceberg near Hubbard Glacier after the ship was ‘engulfed by dense fog, limiting visibility.’
The ship has now been cleared to continue and is headed for Ketchikan.
The coast guard and port officials did not say if the ship would stick to its scheduled itinerary.
