New Contiki packages to the USA for 18-35s

Contiki has launched its 2007 America program, introducing competitive, great value holiday options visiting the USA, plus Hawaii and Canada into the market, with the US being popular with this adventurous market, with the destination’s strong influence on youth culture around the world being strong influence – from Sex in the City to the celebrity set in the magazines, to the music industry and bigger than life sites, sounds, tastes and experiences.

18 to 35s planning a holiday next year will find exciting itineraries visiting north, east, south and west America, Canada and the Rockies and Hawaii in Contiki’s exciting, new America program, plus, in 2007 Contiki is also offering special departures to coincide with events, including New Year’s in New York and Las Vegas and the Calgary Stampede as well as short city breaks in the Big Apple and LA.

Tammy Marshall, Managing Director, Contiki Holidays said, “Contiki has seen phenomenal interest from travelers with booking numbers have grown steadily over the last few years and we expect this popularity to continue”.

“The ongoing success of Contiki can be attributed to the positive difference a Contiki holiday offers, compared to travelling solo, with value and impact on the hip pocket being important, particularly for young travelers”.   “Contiki means you can budget to the dollar, so there are no surprises”.  “This is really important for agents to remember when selling to younger travellers who often don’t have the time and disposable income of other travel market segments”.

“Social networking is also key to the market, so connecting with other like minded people, being part of niche communities is a stronger driver for 18 to 35’s, particularly the younger end of the scale, and the opportunity to meet and travel with people from around the globe is a major drawcard”.

“There is also a strong tradition with travellers taking a roadtrip through the USA and travelling with Contiki means you can experience this”.  “The great American roadtrip allows travellers to see more and experience the true US culture than if they were flying from city to city and the last thing you want to do is miss out on half the adventure by flying over the top of it”.

“This year we have also introduced special departures that deliver once-in-a-lifetime NYE experiences and special itineraries that include the famous Calgary Stampede and as a special offer we are also offering six month early payment discounts so travellers can save even more”.

“Paying early can also save travellers up to $185 per person, that’s good, hard earned cash that can go towards shopping, a night out or a really unique optional experience like Rodeo tickets, an Outlaw Jeep Tour, a visit to Disneyworld or a Manhattan TV and Movie Sites Tour, to name just a few – all travellers need to do is pay in full at least six months in advance to be eligible.”

Here’s a taste of what’s new in 2007

New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas – 4 days from $465 per person, twin share (land only)

Best of USA – 13 days from $2399 per person, twin share (land only)

Contiki’s 2007 America program is available for travel from November 2006 through to March 2008.
