Mok Singh, country manager USA and Canada, for Kenya Airways, was elected President of Skål International, the global association for senior executives in tourism and travel.

The announcement was made at the recent 73rd Skal International World Congress, held in Seoul, in front of more than 500 worldwide delegates.

As President of Skål International, Singh’s goals are to increase the association’s membership and revenue, contain costs, encourage sustainable tourism practices, promote peace through tourism, protect children from exploitation in tourism, and position Skål as "the trusted voice in travel and tourism."

A longtime travel industry veteran, Singh is based in Los Angeles, where he heads operations, marketing and reservations in the U.S. and Canada for Kenya Airways.

Founded in 1934, Skal is the world’s largest organization of professional travel and tourism leaders and the association publishes a Global Code of Ethics for the travel industry, promoting peace, the environment, security, human relations and respect for local cultures.
