New ski flight to the Dolomites launching at Stansted
New ski flights are coming to London Stansted offering easy access to one of the best ski areas in the Dolomites.
Italian airline SkyAlps has announced flights to Bolzano in South Tyrol, the gateway to resorts surrounding Sella Ronda, just a 60-minute drive from the airport.
Flights will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays from December 13 on 76-seater Dash DHC-8-Q400s aircraft.
Prices for a one-way fare start at £160.
Josef Gostner, SkyAlps President, said: “The new London Stansted – Bolzano route will whisk passengers directly to the Dolomites. Until now, those visiting South Tyrol have had to take lengthy, two hour transfers.”
The service will run until April 14.
The ski flight to Bolzano is a new route and airline for the airport.
London Stansted’s Aviation Director, Simon Gorrighan, said “This new route is great news for the airport and perfect for skiers who wish to visit the Dolomites.”
SkyAlps joins Ryanair, Jet2, easyJet and TUI operating ski flights from Stansted.
Other ski routes from the airport include Geneva, Chambery, Grenoble, Turin and Zurich.
