New UK boss for Air Jamaica
Anne Deamer, who formerly led rail distribution for the Association of Train Operating Companies, has become UK & Europe general manager for Air Jamaica.
She succeeds Tony Cowles who held the post for 11 years.
Prior to ATOC, Deamer was a regional manager at Virgin Trains and previously spent 25 years at British Airways.
She said: “We face increased competition with the launch of Virgin’s new flights to Montego Bay but there are exciting times ahead with next year’s cricket World Cup and our new on board product.”
The airline, which serves Montego Bay and Kingston daily from Heathrow, is to introduce ‘sleeperette’ seats in its deluxe economy cabin and flat beds in business class on Airbus A340s.
