Following hot on the heels of the announcement that Harvey World Travel will partner with Virgin Holidays creating the next generation of British travel agents with a network of 300 dual branded high street stores, Octopus has been appointed as preferred supplier for Harvey World Travel and follows a previously successful relationship, which saw the companies undertake joint promotions and incentive schemes, under the guidance of dedicated Octopus Account Manager David Smith.

Octopus provides bespoke services, developed in partnership with Harvey World Travel, including management information reports, a valuable tool enabling the company to track the numbers of reservations that are made online and enabling Harvey World Travel to monitor each of its branches’ progress with the development of a league table, offering its staff further incentives.

The league table also allows Harvey World Travel to reward and troubleshoot, resulting in enhanced performances from its branches.  In addition, Octopus offers Harvey World Travel a co-branded PC screen especially designed for public view.

“We are delighted to be formalising our relationship with Octopus Travel,” said John Donnelly, Managing Director, Harvey World Travel, adding, “We are keen to partner with like-minded companies, as we demonstrated in our alliance announcement with Virgin Holidays and the synergy between Harvey World Travel and Octopus is fantastic.”

Patrick Lukan, UK Country Manager, Cendant Corporation said Octopus also operates an efficient commission process offering Harvey World Travel and its additional travel agents instant commission, adding, “Over £20million of travel agents’ commission goes unclaimed each year and our commission system ensures that agents receive their fee instantaneously.”
