ON-LINE SEMINARS FROM ADVENTURE WORLD
Adventure World has announced that they have become the first Australian wholesaler to operate live on-line training seminars for agents.
Business Development Manager Ms Mak Doherty said about 30 consultants participated in a seminar about Africa.
She said that the system would be an ideal learning opportunity for all travel consultants, but particularly for regional and country travel consultants. They would have the capacity to involve up to 100 people at a time.
She said that a number of seminars would be arranged to cover each of the major destinations marketed by Adventure World. In due course seminars concentrating on specific places will be introduced. This will allow a destination such as Africa or South America to be treated as a whole and then with more emphasis on specific countries or regions at a later date.
The next seminar will be on South America on Wednesday, March 12, followed by India on March 19 and Canada on March 26. Seminars begin at 0830 and finish at approximately 0850 before agencies open for the business day.
Agents will be required to register on-line at least 24 hours before a seminar.
Adventure World is recommending that if several consultants from one agency want to participate they can sit around a single terminal and listen in on speakerphone.
The on-line presentation runs in conjunction with a conference call and participants will be able to hear only the lecturer.
Questions or comments can be sent to the lecturer via an on-line instant messenger.
At the end of each seminar Adventure World will provide a summary of special offers for the destination.
