Online clearing house to shift unsold holidays
Apartments Abroad has launched an online clearing house for operators to shift distressed stock.
The new facility will feature self-catering and hotels across the Mediterranean offering same day travel up to eight weeks before departure.
As well as its own stock, the site will feature rival operators and offers supplied directly by hoteliers.
Agents can search for holidays by destination or by four price bands.
“Agents will know that many people come in with a price in mind and just ask for somewhere sunny whilst others request the best deals at a specific destination,” said Apartmentabroads.com managing director Ian Thirlwall. “The search function satisfies both needs. It will prove invaluable to agents and operators who want to shift distressed stock without under-cutting their own sales channels.”
