Orchestra’s Will gives virtuoso performance
The Travel Alternative Golf Society (TAGS) mid summer golf day saw a record turnout of 40 members at Chart Hills in Kent last week.
It was a glorious summer’s morning, with a little bit of thunder and lightning which did little to hamper the scores of the leading contenders.
Leading the way on his TAGS debut was Will Freeborough of Orchestra who took the course apart with 43 points playing off a handicap of 10.
The runner up spot was closely contested by David Giles of Giles Travel and TAGS Chairman Giles Harper, both with 38 points with David winning on a count back.
Ladies prize was scooped by Cheapflights Media Head of Sales Sarah Hanan with spot prizes of Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin won by Gary Winterburn, Tim Stedeford, David Coates and Tom Knopek.
Seven new TAGS members made their debut at Chart Hills, taking the society’s membership to some 70 members plus.
In addition to the TAGS prizes both David Giles and Will Freeborough qualified for TravelMole’s Race to Paradise Coast eliminator in October.
