Passengers injured evacuating Cathay Pacific jet
An aborted take-off and evacuation has led to injuries to eleven passengers.
A Cathay Pacific jet was forced to abort its takeoff at Hong Kong International Airport.
Due to a technical issue they were evacuated by emergency slides.
This is what caused the injuries.
The airline hasn’t said what the technical issue was or the extent of passenger injuries.
A local media outlet said one of the tyres had burst.
Flight CX880 was bound for Los Angeles.
At least 11 passengers were taken to hospital for treatment and nine have been discharged.
The flight was carrying 293 passengers.
