Phu Quoc reopens to foreign travellers
Vietnam’s popular southern resort island Phu Quoc is officially back on the international tourism map. More than 200 foreign tourists arrived ,the first to visit in nearly two years of border closures.
The fully vaccinated travellers arrived from South Korea for a quarantine-free holiday subject to a negative Covid test taken on arrival. It follows the reopening of the central coast city of Da Nang, which recently saw its first foreign arrivals also by charter flight from South Korea.
The Health Ministry says all tourism industry workers and nearly all of Phu Quoc’s adult population have been fully vaccinated.
