Registration for Travel Convention opens
ABTA today opened registrations for this year’s Travel Convention in Barcelona.
Attendance rates have been frozen at 2008 levels with the association encouraging members to book flights early to get the lowest prices.
This will help ensure that the overall cost of attendance will be lower than last year, according to ABTA.
TUI Travel CEO Peter Long has been confirmed as a speaker at the convention which will be held on October 6-8.
He is to talk about the future for the industry in the current challenging economic climate.
The convention will have two satellite events running alongside for the first time – The Cruise Forum and The Luxury Travel Forum.
There are four official convention hotels, all located adjacent to the Convention Centre (CCIB) in the heart of Barcelona’s business district.
Accommodation can be booked at the same time as registration.
