Revamped FlightScanner to be unveiled at WTM
An updated version of Dolphin FlightScanner, enabling agents to compare web fares twice as fast, is to be released at next month’s World Travel Market.
The new version of the Dolphin Dynamics system claims to incorporate a “breakthrough” pricing display to speed up web fare comparisons.
Return and one-way tariffs and applicable taxes will be displayed in a single screen to allow for rapid price comparison, according to the software development company.
The revamped FlightScanner also features an updated search and results layout, extended search filters for more advanced searches and the capacity to search for flights across regions.
Dolphin Dynamics says “considerable investment” in the core technology has meant the system has the ability to extend content beyond air fares.
President Roberto Da Re said: “ We made the conscious decision to invest in FlightScanner’s architecture rather than simply adding new airlines that might not be relevant for our main markets. Our objective has gone well beyond simply searching for fares to providing a complete professional solution for travel agents.”
