ROAMFREE LTD APPOINTS GARY KNOWLES AS GLOBAL CEO
Online tourism services company Roamfree Ltd has today announced the appointment of Gary Knowles as the company’s Global Chief Executive Officer.
He will be responsible for driving the global expansion of Queensland-based Roamfree Ltd.
A South African, Gary has extensive international business experience, including a strong focus on the Asia Pacific region, which will be the initial focus of Roamfree’s global expansion.
Gary has 14 years experience in the travel, retail, finance and wholesale industries, including a 10-year career with RCI where he held the positions of Managing Director of Pacific Region; Head of RCI and Hotel Dynamics business for the Pacific Region; Executive Director, Group Development – Africa; Finance and Group Development – Africa ; and Finance Director.
He has also been part of the RCI Global Vacation Network Senior Leadership team for the past three years.
Tony Smith, Roamfree Ltd Managing Director, said Gary ’s appointment represents an important milestone in the global expansion of Roamfree Ltd.
“ Gary is a valuable addition to the Roamfree team and his international experience will be crucial as we roll-out our services, first into Asia Pacific and then globally,” Tony said.
Roamfree Ltd aims to establish an unrivalled network of online tourism solutions that help tourism operators such as hotels, resorts, motels and apartment meet the increasing demand for up-to-the-second online information on room availability, rates, packages and reservations.
