Ryanair flies back to profit
Ryanair is back in the black, posting a sizeable full year profit of €1.43 billion.
It came on revenue of €10.8 billion thanks to a strong rebound across Europe.
Average fares were up 10% on pre-Covid levels and saw strong market share gains in Italy, Poland, Ireland and Spain.
Ryanair profit was boosted by passenger load factor up more than 10% to 92%.
It carried a total of 168.6 million passengers.
Ryanair plans to grow traffic to 225 million fliers a year by FY2026 and is committed to creating over 10,000 new jobs for pilots, cabin crew, and engineers.
It recently announced a €40 million new Dublin maintenance centre.
Having expanded various SAF partnerships, it targets 12.5% of Ryanair flights using sustainable fuel by 2030.
It has SAF deals with Neste, OMV and Shell in London and Dublin.
