Sabre launches new agent loyalty scheme
Sabre has launched a loyalty programme for agents in a move to increase the number of hotel bookings made through the GDS.
HotelRewards will see agents accumulate points for each booking for one of Sabre’s 70,000 hotels which can be put towards a range of goods at 19,000 high street stores.
To qualify, agents must register their branches on Sabre’s Travel Network’s eServices website. When enough points have been earned, a redemption button appears on its statement page.
As well as encouraging bookings, Sabre vice president UK and Ireland Reet Wiseman said it wants to reward agents who have helped grow hotel bookings by 22% year-on-year in the UK.
“We designed HotelRewards to recognise the contribution made by the whole agency team, not just individuals. Team work is essential is an agency environment.”
The scheme forms part of Sabre’s new MyRewards loyalty programme.
