Scream your way to Norway

Scream and you could be in Norway.

VisitNorway has today launched a new viral campaign to make the world’s longest scream in celebration of the birthday of the famous Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, renowned for his ‘Scream’ painting.

The tourism body is looking for help to create the longest scream and by taking part you could win a gift card towards a holiday in Norway.

Upload your scream at http://www.visitnorway.com/uk/the-scream/ – keep it short and sweet – and the submitted screams will be added to a film.

There are also up to five gift cards for travel to and within Norway being awarded for the best entries which will increase in value as the film grows, to a maximum of £3,200.

Director of tourism for VisitNorway, Per-Arne Tuftin, said: ‘We want people to join in the celebrations and basically make the world scream."

Running until February 28, the campaign is being supported by a stream of online activity including blogging and targeted messaging across social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter.

In addition to the main prizewinners, a ‘Scream of the Day’ will be chosen throughout the competition period, via the VisitNorway/UK Facebook page, and small prizes will be awarded.
