Shangri-La Hotels teams up with Singapore Air for loyalty programme partnership

Luxury hospitality group Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has formed a loyalty programme partnership with Singapore Airlines.
 
The two companies have jointly launched ‘Infinite Journeys’ which  offers additional perks and points accrual for Shangri-La’s Golden Circle members and SIA’s KrisFlyer members.
 
It offers double rewards for stays at Shangri-La Hotels and recognition for elite members of both programmes when they fly with Singapore Airlines or stay at a Shangri-La property.
 
The hotel group’s Golden Circle Diamond and Jade members get an accelerated upgrade to Singapore Air’s KrisFlyer Elite Gold which gives lounge access when flying with the airline.
 
Also, Golden Circle members can now transfer award points for KrisFlyer miles, and use them for flight upgrades or award flights with Singapore Airlines and SilkAir, and 30 other partner airlines.
 
Conversely, KrisFlyer members can redeem miles for Golden Circle points at at Shangri-La Hotels.
 
"We are very excited about this strategic alliance with Singapore Airlines -one of the world’s leading travel brands -to continuously deliver more value to Golden Circle members," said Shangri-La chief marketing officer Steven Taylor.
 
 "This partnership not only allows KrisFlyer members access to Shangri-La hotels and resorts, the alliance will see both Singapore Airlines and Shangri-La leverage the synergies offered by both brands."
 
The benefits take affect for all loyalty members from today, September 28, 2016.
