Ski season saved, says Club Med
France has swung open its borders with Brits welcome once again.
After nearly a month, vaccinated travellers from the UK no longer need a ‘compelling reason’ or have to self-isolate to enter France from today, 14 January.
Travellers are still required to present a negative test taken within 24 hours of arrival.
The timely decision ‘has saved the season’ for skiers, says Estelle Giraudeau, Managing Director, UK & Northern Europe at Club Med.
"After two years away from the slopes, Brits are desperate to get back to France and some of the most loved ski domains in Europe – and this is the final barrier to be removed."
Club Med said it has seen a 60% increase in web traffic following confirmed news the ban would-be lifted.
"We also witnessed a surge in interest for many of our French ski resorts within the past five days, and these are now our best-selling resorts on clubmed.co.uk," Giraudeau said.
"We hope that governments now focus on a stable and predictable set of rules moving forward that will get the world traveling again."
