Slogan: gone with the wind
“Georgia on my Mind” for two decades has been the state’s tourism tagline. But no more.
“It’s served its purpose. It’s done well,” said Craig Lesser, the state’s Economic Development Commissioner.
The new slogan is “Put Your Dreams in Motion.”
The state is embarking on a $6 million branding campaign. Tourism officials say the aim is to attract tourists as well as business travelers.
The city of Atlanta is also intensifying its efforts to reposition its image, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
