Smithsonian tours promote learning experiences
Smithsonian Journeys is offering a “Bring a friend and save” promotion with many of its 2007 international tours.
The promotion offers friends a $250 savings on tours.
“Smithsonian Journeys is making its acclaimed style of travel — featuring inspiring tours of the world’s great places in the company of like-minded travelers led by expert study leaders — even more alluring by giving lifelong learners an incentive to share their educational travel experiences with friends,” says a news release.
The Washington, DC-based Smithsonian trips next year range the spectrum from remote locales at the far reaches of the earth, including the Arctic and Patagonia, to family vacations in Tanzania.
European trips are also offered.
Smithsonian Journeys, the travel program of the Smithsonian Institution, is the largest museum-based travel program in the world.
Organizers say the trips emphasize “learning vacations.”
