Spirit Airlines unveils new dress code
Budget carrier Spirit Airlines is cracking down on passengers’ questionable dress code.
The airline just updated its contract of carriage this week, with new standards required.
It says it reserves the right to boot some passengers off flights for some visible tattoos and inappropriate dress.
It would apply if they are ‘barefoot or inadequately clothed’ while ‘lewd, obscene, or offensive’ attire will result in getting kicked off a flight.
Another reason is for those ‘inadequately clothed’ or wearing ‘see-through clothing.’
Exposed breasts or buttocks are also a no-no.
Dress codes on flights is nothing new but they are rarely spelled out in detail.
Passengers have complained about getting kicked off flights in an arbitrary fashion they say, with no access to the actual dress standards that airlines expect.
A few months ago, Spirit Airlines removed two woman wearing ‘inappropriate’ crop tops.
