The “Sweden Prescription” is a marketing campaign intended as a supportive tool to promote physical and mental well-being, particularly in cases of stress, fatigue, mild anxiety, or other low- to moderate-level symptoms. It is of course not a substitute for clinical treatment. Healthcare professionals should use their clinical judgement to determine suitability, and patients with acute or severe health conditions should receive appropriate medical care through standard channels
With this initiative, Sweden is shining a spotlight on this topic and positioning itself— with a touch of humor— as the world’s first destination that doctors can prescribe. Visit Sweden teamed up with medical professionals from the UK, Germany, the USA and the Netherlands ready to prescribe a stay in Sweden so patients can benefit from the country’s restorative experiences.
Seeing a doctor to get a Sweden trip Prescription
They see Sweden’s nature, lifestyle, and culture as true allies for healthier living. “Spending time in nature and engaging with culture are evidence-based ways to support both mental and physical health.
