‘Takeaway’ MP3 walking tours unveiled

Thursday, 23 Oct, 2008 0
MP3 walking tours firm Tourist Tracks has partnered with Mi-Vox, providers of disposable MP3 audio players, to create a ‘takeaway’ version of its tours.
Tourist Tracks tours are currently sold via its website, www.tourist-tracks.com, where customers can download a walking tour of the UK’s most popular city destinations direct to their own MP3 player.
The Mi-Vox partnership means that tourists can now arrive at a destination and enjoy these audio walking tours even without their own MP3 player.

Tourist Tracks has tours in Bath, Brighton, Cambridge, Canterbury, Cheltenham, Edinburgh, Ely, Glasgow, London, Oxford and Manchester.
The company also provides authoring and production services to destinations wanting their own MP3 tour. It has recently completed a series of tours (including a cycle tour following the route of one stage of the Tour of Britain) on behalf of Visit Hull and East Yorkshire.
The new players will be on show at World Travel Market next month.
