TAP pulls out of London City
TAP Air Portugal is to axe flights from London City Airport from October.
The airline blamed Brexit, saying there were ‘uncertainties in customer demand’ as a result of the UK’s decision to leave the EU on October 31.
The airline will withdraw both its Lisbon and Porto services from the Docklands’ airport on October 27.
However, the airline will use larger aircraft on flights from Heathrow and Gatwick during peak periods to offset the loss of seats from London City.
The Porto route currently runs on weekdays while Lisbon flights operate twice daily Monday to Friday and once at weekends.
