The Westin arrives in Perth
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has confirmed the signing of a management agreement for The Westin Perth, marking the brand’s entry into Western Australia.
The Hay Street hotel, owned by the BGC (Australia), is expected to open in 2017.
The latest signing is Starwood’s second property in Perth – which has the highest occupancies and average daily rates in Australia – following the opening of Four Points by Sheraton Perth in June 2012.
"Perth is undergoing a rapid transformation with the opening of new bars, restaurants and retail outlets, and this is a prime location for development and the Westin brand’s entry into Western Australia," said Starwood’s Andrew Taylor, director, acquisitions & development, Pacific.
