Thomas Cook has increased its capacity by 10% for summer 2017, during which it will feature Croatia and Mykonos for the first time.

The operator will also return to the Costa Del Sol and offer more choice in British traditional favourites Spain, Portugal and the USA.

Claiming to be the first major tour operator to launch Summer 17 holidays, it has 100,000 children’s holidays for £1.

MD Chris Mottershead said: "This is the earliest we have launched a summer programme for the following year and with the market more competitive than ever, we want to be able to offer our customers more choice and flexibility than ever before.

"Our new destinations of Croatia, Mykonos and Costa Del Sol cater for families and couples, both young and old, and we are excited to expand on our USA programme to cater for an increase in demand in holidays stateside."

Thomas Cook announced last week that it will launch flights from Luton for the first time next summer. It will also offer 9% more seats from Manchester and Newcastle and 3% more from Glasgow.
