Thomson wins World Cup contract
Thomson Sport has been appointed as an official tour operator for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
The tournament starts on June 11, 2010 in Johannesburg.
Thomson has recently won a number of sports contracts, including the UEFA Under 21’s Championships in Sweden and the UEFA Women’s European Championships in Finland in 2009.
Thomson Sport managing director Nathan Wilson said: “With packages available from April 2009, we’re confident with Thomson’s experience and expert knowledge of travel and tourism in South Africa this will enhance thousand’s of footballs fans overall experience of one of the world’s greatest events.”
