Trade show offers incentive program for incentive planners
Think of it as an incentive program for incentive planners.
Canada’s largest trade show for the meetings and incentive industries, IncentiveWorks 2013, is trying something new this year: a VIP Buyers Pass for experienced buyers and an Appointments Pass for all buyers.
In exchange for booking at least six appointments with exhibitors, senior-level meeting and incentive program planners get an exclusive "Imagineering Tour" of meetings in 2030, presented in partnership with MPI, and admission to a Think Tank to help shape their industry.
Senior-level planners are defined as those with 10 years’ experience and an annual meeting spend of $250,000.
All buyers who promise to book three appointments on each of the two days of the show will get a Works Pass, valued at $105, that gives them admission to all educational events, two lunch tickets, and a ticket to the closing party.
Appointments must be booked by August 1.
Another interesting switch at the show is the "Mystery Keynote" speaker, whose identity is under wraps.
Says the website: "Why the secret? We’re under contract and so is our speaker. This is not a marketing tactic or a tool to build hype. When we reveal who this individual is, you’ll understand. We promise!"
IncentiveWorks will be held August 20-21 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
More than 3,000 buyers and 700 exhibitors are expected to attend.
Admission is free for buyers.
