Trailfinders tells customers ‘no other travel company is as financially secure’
Trailfinders has sent a message to customers claiming that no other travel company ‘of any size’ can match it when it comes to financial security.
In an email update on how it is dealing with COVID19 travel restrictions, it said its team of more than 1,000 people continue to ‘work flat out’ supporting clients who are still abroad and those who were due to depart in March and April.
“Shortly we will tackle May departures onwards and will automatically contact those affected directly,” it said.
The message then went on to say: “No other travel company is as financially secure as Trailfinders.
“TF is the only travel organiser of any size who protects all our clients’ pipeline money in a Trust Account approved by ATOL, meaning the money you entrust with us is only spent on your holiday.”
On a message on its website, Trailfinders said it ‘also has a separate war chest of cash’.
Its offices are now temporarily closed but its telephone lines remain open 8am-6pm.
In a follow-up message to customers today, founder and chairman Mike Gooley said the coronavirus is a huge setback to world travel but said: “The joy of travel will return.”
“TrailFinders is busy preparing to meet what will be a rush of pent up demand when this plague is overcome, as so many such visitations have before in the history of mankind,” he said.
“I thought I was at the conclusion of the seemingly never ending work of writing up my memoirs but, although I will now need to add a bit more, the story will I know end happily.
“Meanwhile Trailfinders are doing whatever they can to limit distress and appreciate the stoic patience shown by everyone.”
