Travel Research Online launches new B2B Web site for agents
Travel Research Online (TRO) announced the launch and beta testing of a new online marketing platform for travel agents that links them directly to travel suppliers, giving agents the ability to query multiple suppliers for information and booking options.
Over 130 suppliers have already joined and have placed profiles in the site’s new Tour Operator and Niche Cruise Index.
TRO provides travel agents with a neutral platform to obtain assistance with travel research and marketing, a efficient way to query multiple vendors for pricing travel as well as private label marketing materials and free support in the sale of new or unfamiliar travel products.
“There is no cost to the agent who will be able to sign up for the program online,” said Richard B. Earls, founder of the Tallahassee, FL-based company.
Travel Agents obtain access to free extensive research materials, including a set of destination and activity reports for over 400 destinations, imprinted with the agent/agency logo.
Mr Earls said the new online service will empower agents, and expand supplier sales. “TRO offers agents useful resources and empowers them to deliver a wide range of services that matches client’s needs. The system provides a work platform for agencies that gives them real-time assistance with research and marketing,” he said.
Content in the TRO system includes country and city guides, theme based articles, supplier specials postcards and brochures, a tour and niche cruise operator directory and community groups for agents, suppliers and research specialists.
Mr Earls was formerly an executive with Northstar Travel Media and the publisher of their Electronic Products Group.
