Travel Wisconsin boosts commitment to UK market
Travel Wisconsin is strengthening its commitment to the UK travel industry, aimed at elevating Wisconsin as a premier destination for UK travel agents and tour operators to showcase.
Wisconsin’s ambition is to increase its visibility and appeal within the competitive UK market through targeted marketing and partnerships.
To spearhead the effort, Travel Wisconsin has appointed Cellet Marketing & PR Ltd as its official UK agency.
Cellet brings a wealth of expertise with over 35 years of experience in travel trade marketing and public relations.
It has established industry relationships across the UK and Ireland.
Their approach combines trade marketing, consumer advertising, and PR to maximise return on investment.
The mission is to ensure Wisconsin’s offerings reach the right audiences effectively.
Wisconsin’s diverse appeal spans adventure holidays and outdoor experiences.
The state has thousands of miles of scenic trails, freshwater shorelines, and unique opportunities such as kayaking the Apostle Islands Sea caves and exploring historic shipwrecks.
Golf tourism is another key pillar of Wisconsin’s tourism offering. It is home to over 500 golf courses, including top class venues like Whistling Straits and Erin Hills. The state also has top-tier public courses, many ranked nationally, combined with a vibrant craft culture of breweries and farm-to-table dining.
Travel Wisconsin is actively engaging with UK tour operators and travel agents through a variety of marketing activities.
These range from co-op advertising, PR campaigns, trade shows, and Fam trips. These initiatives are designed to build strong partnerships and provide trade professionals with the tools and incentives needed to promote Wisconsin to UK travellers.
This strategic focus is part of a broader effort to elevate Wisconsin’s brand.
The state’s brand promise is “Wisconsin, where the unexpected is ready to be discovered”.
Travel Wisconsin’s investment in the UK market is significant, supported by increased tourism budgets.
It has a clear vision to connect outdoor recreation with traditional tourism sectors such as hotels, restaurants, and attractions.
“We are delighted to deepen our relationship with the UK travel market,” said Secretary Anne Sayers, Wisconsin Department of Tourism.
“Our goal is to showcase the incredible variety of experiences Wisconsin offers – from thrilling outdoor adventures to world-class golf and vibrant local culture.”
Travel agents and tour operators interested in exploring partnership opportunities with Travel Wisconsin and Cellet Marketing are encouraged to get in touch.
