TUI unveils Calabria for summer 2019
TUI will launch a new route to Calabria, Italy, for summer 2019 and claims to be the first UK operator selling holidays to the destination.
Flights will operate out of London Gatwick and Manchester airports. They start in May 2019 and will operate once a week every Saturday from both airports.
Alongside the new flights, TUI will be opening Italy’s first TUI Magic Life hotel.
Currently being renovated, the hotel will have 24-hour all-inclusive dining and sports, fitness, wellbeing and entertainment programmes.
The hotel makeover will include full renovation of rooms, bathrooms, restaurants, sports areas, Splashpark, three pools and Private Lodge area for over 16s.
UK commercial director Richard Sofer said: "This region is something totally new to the UK market and Italy is already hugely popular with British tourists.
"We are always looking to expand our product offering and are delighted to be opening a TUI Magic Life hotel in Italy. The hotel is ideal for both couples and families."
