VeryGC Global Business Insights 2007 Conference
Pavan Bhatia, CEO of Gold Coast Tourism is determined to put the Gold Coast firmly on the global business tourism map with the VeryGC Global Business Insights 2007 Conference being held on the Gold Coast on February 26 and 27 already attracting over 500 delegates and 12 key global decision making and thought leaders from around the world.
Pictured right presenting Gold Coast Tourism Ambassador and AFL legend Ron Barassi with an award of recognition, Pavan said that the event was going to be a massive milestone for the Gold Coast with speakers already booked, including former Federal Reserve Chairman and Economist Alan Greenspan, Ricardo Semler who is recognised globally for his innovative, employee centric management style and Kell Ryan, pioneering member of Ryanair, seen to be particularly relevant with the entry of Tiger Airways into Australia, which is partly owned by the Ryan family.
Pavan said that we aim to be the leader in this space at least in the region and be recognised globally, balancing our dominant leisure position with a very attractive business tourism proposition.
He added, “Participants at VeryGC Global Business Insights 2007 will come face to face with three of the world’s most compelling and influential business leaders, although Alan Greenspan will be joining us by satellite video link, but all will offer advice and their expertise in an Australasian and APEC audience context, with their ground breaking approaches applied to our markets and businesses.” “We have not forgot the key business networking game either by including a Golf Challenge with Wayne Grady!”
“In addition, VeryGC Global Business Insights 2007 offers high quality participation and networking session with key business leaders from around the region and I firmly believe that this is an opportunity not to be missed by any serious business leader and player.”
“VeryGC Global Business Insights 2007 will be simultaneously broadcast in Auckland and Singapore and we are also delighted to have secured BBC Television’s lead presenter on their international news and current affairs channel, BBC World as our MC, bringing his highly sought after analytical approach and expertise to the event.”
