Wingate by Wyndham brand expansion planned for North America
Wyndham Hotel Group has agreed a $250 million deal with property firm Corinthian Development Company to construct at least 15 new build hotels for the Wingate by Wyndham brand in the US and Canada.
The franchised hotels are to be managed by Wyndham long term partner Aimbridge Hospitality, which currently operates 30 hotels for various Wyndham brands.
The new Wingate by Wyndham properties are slated for key markets such as Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto and Vancouver.
"This agreement presents a significant opportunity to leverage the improving new-construction development and increase our Wingate by Wyndham portfolio by more than 10%," said Bob Loewen, Wyndham chief operating officer.
"Wingate by Wyndham has always been a consistent, well-performing brand and we’re confident that our partners’ expertise will help drive continued growth and success."
