Wyndham Hotel Group has celebrated the opening of its 100th hotel in South East Asia and the Pacific Rim with the unveiling of Wyndham Tamansari Jivva Resort Bali recently.

That makes 17 new hotels in the region so far this year, adding 2,336 rooms, with a pipeline of more than 30 new hotels due to open by 2020.

The company also made its debut in two new countries this year with the openings of  Ramada Hotel Niigata in Japan and Wyndham Legend Halong Bay in Vietnam.

Wyndham Jivva Bali has 222 rooms, suites and private pool villas located in the up and coming regency of Klungkung on Bali’s east coast, between the port of Padangbai and the beach resort of Sanur.

It features a full service spa, meeting and events space, fitness centre and all-day dining.

"This is an exciting period for Wyndham Hotel Group as we accelerate our expansion and development plans with a focus on South East Asia. Bali is one of the most popular resort destinations for regional and domestic travel, and has always seen tremendous interest from its source markets with 9.73 million arrivals in 2015," said Barry Robinson, president and managing director of Wyndham Hotel Group,South East Asia and the Pacific Rim.

"We saw Wyndham Tamansari Jivva Resort Bali as an opportunity to showcase a novel side of Bali, where guests can immerse themselves in authentic local experiences and the best surf spots in the untouched eastern region of Klungkung."
