Thomas Cook to open first long-haul Casa Cook hotel

Thomas Cook is to open a new Casa Cook in Mauritius in winter 2019 - the first in the collection outside of Europe.

The 130-room hotel will open in Turtle Bay, a picturesque corner on the island's north-west coast.

Situated right on the beach, Casa Cook Mauritius will open towards the end of 2019 and feature a series of beach-side swim-up rooms among its many highlights.

The hotel will continue the design aesthetic of Casa Cook hotels, incorporating local materials and echoing its environment.

Amenities will include a secluded spa with fitness facilities; a yoga pavilion with views to the horizon; a swimming platform at the end of a natural lava rock pier as well as a beachside all-day restaurant and bar serving high-quality food, including local specialities.

Casa Cook was launched three years ago with the opening of its first hotel in Rhodes and now has two hotels operating, a third to open this summer in Chania in Crete and a fourth set to open next summer in Ibiza.

The collection was created by Thomas Cook to attract a new audience to the traditional package holiday and, since launching, over 75% of Casa Cook customers have been new to the holiday company.

Casa Cook also achieves the highest customer satisfaction for all of Thomas Cook's own-brand hotels.

Casa Cook is one of Thomas Cook's seven own hotel brands available to British holidaymakers; from the premium family resorts of Sunwing to the adult-only retreats of Sunprime and the recently-launched Cook's Club hotels which offer a stripped-back, urban lifestyle by the beach.
