Business travel agent blames errors for insolvency action

Long-haul and business travel specialist agency Black Tip Travel is seeking insolvency advice.

The company, incorporated last year, was previously a member of Advantage and ABTA but it is no longer a member of either.

A message on the website of the Tonbridge-based company says it is seeking insolvency advice and not able to respond to message until Monday December 10.

It says: "Black Tip Travel Ltd is currently undergoing some issues and we are trying to work through these as quickly as possible. If you have flights that have been cancelled and need a refund or are chasing a refund please email us.

"We are currently getting insolvency advice so we can work through these problems and will respond as soon as we can. Please note currently we will not be able to reply until Monday 10th December 2018.

"During this time we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We have made successful arrangements for hundreds of satisfied customers but due to errors being made on some bookings the company took heavy losses creating the situation it is in now. We hope to work through this and get back on track soon."

Customers have begun posting negative reviews of the company on Trustpilot.
