Wellness tour operator launches

A new wellness tour offering exclusive retreats in France and Italy has been launched, under the name of Balance Holidays.

The first Balance Holidays wellness retreats will be held in early 2019 and include yoga retreats in France at The Lake Lodges in the Provencal vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and The Tree Houses in the grounds of the Chateau de Raray in Picardie.

Other retreats are planned for Tuscany, Puglia and Sicily.

Balance Holidays has been founded by Livia Manca di Villahermosa after she struggled to find a wellness retreat combined with a five-star hotel experience.

She has introduced memorable wellness programmes held at exclusive five-star family-owned resort destinations, predominantly in Europe, that provide lessons that can be practised at home and incorporated into daily life to achieve long-term balance.

Each retreat includes elements of the surrounding culture so the destination itself is part of the experience.

Livia Manca di Villahermosa said: "I know, from personal experience, how confusing the wellness retreat market can be, so I am here to provide advice and reassurance, knowing that all our fantastic five-star hotel and resort partners are aligned with your needs, as they have been with mine.  Our retreats are not about deprivation, but understanding and education."

Prices start at £1,464 per person for a three-night wellness retreat.
